Advantage Arts Academy (AAA) is a tuition-free public charter school located in Herriman enrolling kindergarten through 6th grade. Advantage Arts Academy considers admissions for all students who reside in Utah and submit a timely application. For 2023-2024, Advantage Arts Academy anticipates enrolling up to 525 students.
Advantage Arts Academy is the only elementary school in Utah using the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTSALP) model as a focus and not as a supplemental add-on program. Arts integration is incorporated in all core curriculum courses to increase our students’ performance in every subject, as well as improve students’ core academic capacity, emotional well-being, arts awareness, and social skills.
New student enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year opened on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM. The first open enrollment window will end on Monday, January 23, 2023, with the initial lottery running on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Advantage Arts Academy will continue to accept enrollment applications throughout the school year. Lotteries will be run, as needed, until all seats are filled or as seats become available. When all seats in a grade are filled, students will be placed in an applicant pool for future lotteries.
Current student re-registration started on Tuesday, December 1, 2022. Instructions to submit sibling enrollment applications will be provided in January 2023.
Based on Utah statute, students must be five years old by September 1st in order to enroll in kindergarten. All students who reside in Utah and submit a timely application will be considered for admission.

Submit an ENROLLMENT APPLICATION. By submitting your enrollment application you are stating your desire to enroll at AAA. This places you in the applicant pool for upcoming lotteries.
Lottery Process. If the number of student applications exceed the number of positions available at AAA, students will be randomly chosen to fill available positions; this process is referred to as a lottery. All applicants in the lottery pool will be considered, and a computerized lottery program will randomly select students. AAA will first enroll any existing students for the upcoming school year and give preference as applicable under Utah Code. Every effort will be made to accept all siblings in an individual family, although this may not always be possible due to the cap on class sizes and the lottery process. Siblings of students currently enrolled will be given preference if and when openings become available.
Registration Process. Families will be notified via e-mail of their child’s acceptance into the school. Accepted families will be notified of the next steps in the registration process and the timeline they will need to follow. If you do not receive a notice of acceptance after you submitted your child’s application, please assume nothing has changed in regard to your students' enrollment status. Visit our Registration page for more information.
Completion and submission of an enrollment application does not guarantee admission to, or constitute acceptance in, Advantage Arts Academy. Please be sure to fill out ALL appropriate information and requested fields before you submit the application.
