Stephanie Robinson's Bio
3rd Grade Teacher
Hi, I'm Mrs. Robinson, and I will be starting my 10th year teaching this fall at Advantage Arts Academy. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Utah and for the past nine years have been a teacher in a charter school down in Las Vegas, NV. My husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Athanasios, into the world last July and so we decided to move back to Salt Lake to be near family.
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am first generation born in the United Sates and I’m 100% Greek. I’m very proud of my Greek heritage and culture, and I can speak, read, and write Greek. My family consists of my husband, son, parents, my younger brother and sister, 3 grandparents, a bunch of aunt's and uncle's, as well as a total of 15 first cousins. I have A LOT more family (think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding").
When it comes to the arts, I love to dance, paint, and act out drama! My favorite book to read to my students is Roald Dahl's The Witches, because I get to create different voices and play out the characters in front of my students.
An interesting fact about me is that I have a scar on my neck. I was born with a birthmark and as I grew, it grew too. When I was in 7th grade the doctors told me that it was a malignant tumor (it could possibly spread to the rest of me) and so they removed it.
I am looking forward to meeting my future 3rd graders this coming fall!
